Privacy
This notice covers manwithavancoventry.com. The company responsible for your information is the one named on the Company details page, which is the controller for anything you send through this site.
Just reading the pages
The pages themselves set no cookies and ask for nothing. Like any website, the server that sends you the pages sees your IP address and browser details for a short time to deliver them and keep them secure. The typefaces come from Google Fonts, so your browser also asks Google's servers for them, and Google sees your IP address when it does. We may count visits with a cookie-free statistics tool that does not identify you.
Emailing us
If you email [email protected], we get your email address and whatever you write. We use it to answer you and keep it while the conversation, or any booking that follows from it, is live, and for up to two years after that in case a question comes back.
Booking a driver
The form on the booking page is part of the company's own booking system and is shown inside this site. To price and arrange your move it collects the two addresses, the date and time, what you are moving, your name, email address and phone number, and card details for the deposit hold.
- Your name, phone number, addresses and job details are passed to the driver you choose, and to another local driver if yours can't do it, so they can confirm and do the job.
- Card details go straight to the card processor. Neither the drivers nor this site see your full card number.
- Booking records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounts, usually six years.
- The booking system uses service providers for hosting, databases, maps and payments. Some of them are based outside the UK, in which case the transfer is covered by the safeguards UK data protection law allows.
The lawful basis is that we need the information to arrange the move you ask for, and, for keeping records, that the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected]. If you are not happy with the answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
